School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Hayward, California
Join a supportive educational environment as a Speech-Language Pathologist providing essential services one day per week on a contract basis near Hayward, CA. Your full workday, approximately 6-8 hours weekly, will fall between 8:45 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
In this part-time position, you’ll work with a small, manageable caseload, including a pending assessment, three students receiving direct services, and one preschooler off campus who also requires direct support. Collaborate with school staff and families to deliver high-quality interventions tailored to each student’s unique communication needs.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure/credential to practice as an SLP in California
- Experience working in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments as needed
- Deliver direct therapy to assigned students, adapting to both in-school and off-campus settings
- Develop, implement, and document individualized therapy plans and session notes
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and family members to support student progress
- Maintain compliance with all special education regulations and timelines
