A fantastic contract-based opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to support students in a dynamic educational setting near Canyon, CA. This position offers a rewarding way to serve a diverse student population one full day a week, providing vital speech and language services.
In this role, you will spend 6-8 hours each week on-site between 8:45 AM and 3:00 PM, working with students who benefit from your expertise and compassionate care. Your caseload will include a pending assessment, three students needing direct service, and one preschooler who requires off-campus direct support.
Ideal candidates will possess:
- Active state licensure and required certifications to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in school settings
- Experience working with school-aged children, including preschoolers
- Strong assessment, therapy, and documentation skills
- Flexibility to work within varying school environments, including offsite visits when needed
- Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Primary duties:
- Deliver direct therapy services to assigned students in accordance with IEPs and best practices
- Complete a timely assessment as assigned
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation for service delivery, assessments, and progress reports
- Communicate progress and strategies with families and staff
- Adapt therapy methods to meet individual needs across different age groups
