Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC).
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) to practice in California.
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
- Knowledgeable about IEP processes, assessment tools, and documentation practices.
- Excellent communication skills, compassionate demeanor, and the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals.
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Deliver direct therapy services to students, addressing diverse speech and language needs.
- Collaborate regularly with educators and family members to support student progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and input to multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintain timely, accurate records in line with district and state requirements.
- Provide ongoing support and consultation for teachers and staff to promote communication-rich learning environments.
