Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Lombard, IL
An exciting opportunity awaits skilled Speech-Language Pathologists holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence interested in supporting K-22 aged students in a therapeutic private day school setting. This part-time, contract position offers meaningful engagement with a diverse caseload and a focus on comprehensive evaluations and oversight, essential for effective intervention and student success.
This role is based near Lombard, IL, with on-site responsibilities in a supportive, collaborative school environment. Candidates must be fully credentialed SLP-CCCs, as the position requires in-depth evaluations and ongoing oversight not suitable for SLPA roles.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and current ASHA CCC required
- Valid state licensure for Illinois
- Experience or desire to work in school settings, specifically with K-22 age groups
- Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach and flexibility to adjust as student and school needs evolve
Position Details:
- Part-time schedule, approximately 21 hours per week
- Typical hours between 8:00 am and 2:30 pm (flexible within 8:00 am to 3:00 pm)
- Primary work days on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays
- Potential opportunity to increase hours
- Immediate start, extending through May 28th, 2027
- Focused on direct therapy, evaluations, IEP meetings, and collaboration with families and staff
