Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Chicago, IL

This role focuses on delivering compassionate and effective support to students in kindergarten through age 22, contributing to an inclusive educational environment.
This position offers a flexible, family-friendly schedule of three days weekly, typically Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, with hours ranging from 8 am to approximately 2:30 or 3 pm. There is potential for additional hours as needs evolve. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through May 28th, 2027.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP)
- Valid state licensure to practice as an SLP in Illinois
- Experience in school settings and with varied age groups (K–22)
- Strong evaluation, case management, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a therapeutic day school environment
Role Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat students with communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Collaborate with educators, families, and administrators to maximize student progress
- Document services and maintain timely records for compliance
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide oversight for SLP services (no SLPA supervision)
