Desired Qualifications:
- Active New York Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working in school-based or pediatric settings is a plus, but not required
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and fellow staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat a range of speech, language, and communication disorders in students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress notes in compliance with school and state regulations
- Consult with educators, families, and other professionals to support students’ needs and educational success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning for each student
- Provide direct therapy as well as consultative services to support a wide range of learning styles
