Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Litchfield Park, AZ
Job Type: Full-Time, Contract
Anticipated Start Date: November 2, 2026
Contract End Date: May 21, 2027
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students across two school campuses in Litchfield Park, Arizona. This position is primarily focused on case management, evaluations, IEP documentation, and supervision rather than providing the majority of direct speech-language services.

Two full-time SLPAs are already in place at the campuses and provide the majority of direct student services, allowing the SLP to focus on clinical oversight, evaluations, case management, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a school-based caseload of approximately 120 students.

  • Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments.

  • Develop, maintain, and oversee IEP documentation.

  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educational teams and families.

  • Provide clinical supervision and oversight of two full-time SLPAs.

  • Monitor student progress and ensure appropriate implementation of speech-language services.

  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and other members of the student support team.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and regulatory requirements.

  • Support compliance with special education procedures and applicable regulations.

Caseload & Service Model

The caseload is approximately 120 students, which is larger than a traditional comprehensive school-based SLP caseload.

This is primarily due to the structure of the position: two full-time SLPAs provide the majority of direct services and data collection, allowing the SLP to concentrate on evaluations, supervision, case management, and IEP responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Valid Arizona SLP credentials appropriate for school-based practice.

  • Experience with school-based speech-language evaluations and IEP processes preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of special education procedures and documentation.

  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to effectively supervise and support SLPAs.

  • Strong ability to manage a large caseload and meet required timelines.

SLP-CF candidates are not being considered for this position.

Remote work is not available for this opportunity.

  • School-based setting
