Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Eligibility for North Carolina state licensure
- Previous experience working in school settings preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and adapt to students’ individual needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders within a PreK-8th grade caseload
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in conjunction with educators and families
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation and progress reports for each student
- Consult with teachers, staff, and parents to support students’ academic and social development
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to ongoing student outcomes
- Provide guidance and resources for classroom accommodations and effective communication strategies
