Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP in North Carolina
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong CFs also considered
- Previous experience in a school setting is valuable, though not mandatory
- Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and documentation
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans in coordination with educators and families
- Provide direct therapy services to students individually and in small groups
- Monitor, document, and report progress toward IEP goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Offer consultation and training to teachers and support staff regarding student strategies
- Maintain timely and accurate records in accordance with school and state guidelines
