Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid and active state licensure or eligibility for licensure in North Carolina
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred; strong Clinical Fellows (CF) also considered
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities with a collaborative spirit
- Proficiency in assessment, intervention, and development of individualized education plans (IEPs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech, language, and communication services to a diverse K-12 student population
- Evaluate students for speech and language disorders using standardized assessment tools
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary team members to share progress and recommend strategies
- Contribute to IEP meetings and documentation in compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines
- Offer support and guidance to educators and families to help maximize student success in and out of the classroom
