An opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide evaluations within a child-focused educational setting in Lakeland, FL. This contract position is ideal for professionals passionate about pediatric speech-language services, with assignments focused on assessing preschool-aged children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations for 3-year-old children participating in the ChildFind program or within a pre-kindergarten through 8th-grade school setting.
- Administer assessments and document findings accurately, supporting individualized education planning.
- Maintain compliance with licensing and program requirements while delivering quality care.
- Collaborate with educational staff and coordinate with supervisors (for Clinical Fellows) to ensure effective service delivery.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Florida state SLP license; Clinical Fellows (CF) are welcome to apply. Please note, Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) are not eligible for this role.
- Experience with pediatric speech and language evaluations, particularly in educational settings.
- Familiarity with ChildFind evaluations or school-based speech-language pathology preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Position Details:
- Location: Lakeland, FL (onsite only)
- Contract duration: Immediate start through May 29th
- Schedule options include part-time (1 to 5 days per week) for ChildFind program evaluations or full-time (5 days/week) within a PK-8 school environment.
- Daily hours: 7.5 hours of billing with an 8-hour total workday
