Key Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license from the Florida Department of Health
- Experience with pediatric and elementary-aged populations
- Familiarity with school-based therapy settings, ideally within PreK–5th grade
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills for collaborating with educators, parents, and another SLP
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational abilities
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to PreK–5th grade students according to their IEPs
- Collaborate with another SLP to manage and support a shared elementary school caseload
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and progress monitoring to inform individualized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate records and comply with special education documentation requirements
- Consult with teachers and families to integrate speech strategies and support student success in the classroom
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expert input on communication goals and progress
