Speech Language Pathologist - Travel
Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologists for a full-time travel assignment for the 2026–2027 school year with school districts in the Houston, Texas area. Position Overview:
Full-time, travel-based role for the 2026–2027 school year
Placement within school districts in the Houston, Texas area
Renewal opportunities for the following school year based on performance
Minimum Requirements:
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements to be considered, including:
Active Speech Language Pathologist license issued by the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if applicable
Compliance with Texas Department of Education requirements for school-based practice
Background check and fingerprinting as required by the district and state
Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
Travel Position Eligibility:
Must hold an active license in the state of Texas
Must maintain a permanent residence and incur duplicate housing expenses while on assignment
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and evaluations to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and progress reports
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and progress tracking
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations
