Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA—no SLPAs accepted
- Active professional state license and GA PSC credential (new requirement)
- Previous experience in schools, preferably with elementary and middle school populations
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Ability to complete and pass fingerprinting and a drug screening prior to the assignment
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and other school professionals
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports for caseload
- Provide therapy services within the school setting, targeting articulation, language, fluency, and social communication
- Attend IEP and other team meetings as required
- Adapt intervention strategies to meet each student's diverse needs
Role Highlights:
- Full-time contract for the 2026–2027 school year, from August through May
- Work on-site at one assigned school, eliminating travel between locations
- Caseload includes elementary and middle school students, offering a varied and rewarding experience
