Position Overview

Blazer Jobs is actively seeking Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for multiple openings with a school district in Kansas City, Kansas for the 2026–2027 school year. We are hiring SLP-CCCs, SLP-CFs, and SLPAs for this opportunity.

This is a full-time, school-based SLP position working with students across K–12 grade levels. Candidates will support communication development and help students succeed academically, socially, and functionally within the school setting. Travel contract options are also available for non-local candidates. 

Assignment Details

  • Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) / SLPA
  • Location: Kansas City, KS
  • Contract Dates: August 3, 2026 – May 21, 2027
  • Schedule: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week
  • Setting: K–12 school sites
  • Openings: Multiple vacancies
  • Caseload: Assigned across 1–3 campuses (specific details provided during interview)
  • Work Type: On-site only

Role Responsibilities

As a School-Based SLP, you will assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, and communication disorders. Responsibilities include developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), providing direct therapy services, and collaborating with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.

You will support students with articulation, language processing, fluency, and social communication needs while maintaining accurate documentation and tracking progress toward goals. This role plays a critical part in ensuring students have access to the communication skills necessary for academic success.

Qualifications

  • SLP-CCC: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and active ASHA certification
  • SLP-CF: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology with eligibility for CF supervision
  • SLPA: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field with appropriate state licensure
  • State Requirements: Must meet all Kansas licensure and Department of Education requirements
  • Ability to work on-site in a school setting
