This onsite assignment involves working across multiple school sites in the Baldwin City area, including Wellsville and Eudora, providing critical services to help students succeed academically and socially.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA required
- Valid state licensure in Kansas, or eligibility to obtain
- Previous experience in school settings is highly valued
- Comfortable traveling between school locations as part of your workweek
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for fostering student growth
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech and language assessments for students across a range of grade levels
- Design and implement individualized therapy plans in alignment with each student’s IEP (Individualized Education Plan) goals
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and family members to promote generalization of skills
- Maintain clear and professional documentation, progress notes, and required records
- Participate in IEP team meetings and contribute expertise to support educational outcomes
- Serve as a resource to school staff regarding strategies and best practices in communication support
