School Speech Pathology | Longview, Washington
Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. This onsite position offers the opportunity to work with students from elementary through high school, supporting a wide range of communication needs and various disabilities from mild to severe. You'll work full-time, Monday through Friday, in a collaborative educational environment that values professional expertise and compassionate care.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Active Washington State SLP licensure required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Prior experience in school settings supporting students with disabilities
- Strong ability to tailor interventions for varying age ranges and needs
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop IEPs, and implement individualized therapy for K-12 students
- Address a range of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Document progress and prepare reports in compliance with district and state procedures
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing team decisions
- Educate school staff and families to facilitate student success
- Adapt therapy approaches to accommodate both virtual and in-person learning as needed
