Location: Clayton County, Georgia, approximately 20 minutes south of Atlanta
Assignment Dates: July 27, 2026 – May 26, 2027
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, on-site
The Opportunity
A school district in Clayton County, Georgia is seeking multiple Speech-Language Pathologists for the 2026–2027 school year. Both experienced SLPs with their ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence and Clinical Fellowship candidates are encouraged to apply.
These are full-time, on-site positions serving students at the elementary, middle, or high school level. The district is actively interviewing and prepared to move quickly with qualified candidates.
Available Assignments
• Multiple openings available throughout the district
• Elementary, middle, and high school placements
• Full-time schedule of 40 hours per week
• Specific school and caseload assignments will be discussed during the
interview
• Placements will be determined according to district needs, experience, and
professional fit
Required Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or
Communication Sciences and Disorders
• Active Georgia Speech-Language Pathology license or eligibility to obtain
licensure
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence for experienced SLP candidates
• Clinical Fellowship candidates are welcome to apply
• Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities
• Evaluate and assess students with speech, language, and
communication needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and measurable IEP goals
• Provide direct and consultative speech-language services
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions when appropriate
• Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and multidisciplinary
teams
• Participate in IEP, eligibility, and student-support meetings
• Maintain accurate service records and required documentation
• Follow federal, state, and district special education procedures
Screening & Credentialing Requirements
• Successful completion of district onboarding
requirements
• Background check and fingerprint clearance as required by the district and
state
• Verification of professional licensure and certification
• Internal eligibility interview
