Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) for Speech-Language Pathology
- Prior school-based or pediatric experience highly valued
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and intervention skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students, families, and school teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose speech and language impairments among students in grades K-12
- Create tailored and goal-driven treatment plans in collaboration with educational staff and parents
- Deliver direct therapy services, both individually and in small group settings, prioritizing each student’s unique strengths and challenges
- Maintain detailed and compliant documentation on progress and services provided
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to multi-disciplinary teams
- Serve as a valued resource for teachers and support staff regarding communication difficulties and strategies
