Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active IL SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Experience with pediatric and school-based caseloads, especially students with ASD
- Understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Familiarity with best practices in both therapeutic intervention and documentation
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative speech and language therapy to students in grades K-6 with ASD
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to create and maintain individualized education plans
- Assess, document, and report student progress using data-driven approaches
- Deliver speech and language services in both individual and small group settings
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team conferences
- Maintain accurate, timely records to ensure compliance with district and state requirements
