School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Chicago, Illinois
A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in school settings, based in Chicago, IL. This position focuses on supporting high school students with various learning disabilities, providing targeted speech and language services throughout the academic year.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy sessions to approximately 25 students on caseload.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement IEP goals tailored to students’ specific needs.
- Conduct assessments, track student progress, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Attend required meetings, with an onsite presence mandatory, especially on Wednesdays.
- Support a positive learning environment by adapting approaches to meet diverse learning needs.
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist with school-based experience.
- Proven ability to effectively support students with various learning disabilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work within an educational team.
- Ability to work onsite during scheduled hours and maintain flexibility for two additional designated days.
Schedule and Location:
- Position is onsite in Chicago, IL.
- Work three days per week (Wednesday is required; other two days are flexible).
- Hours: 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
- Contract duration: August 12, 2025, through May 15, 2026.
