The school serves a small K–12 student population (currently about 30, expected to grow up to 45), all of whom benefit from strong staff collaboration and a remarkable 1:2 staff-to-student ratio.
Key Qualifications:
- Active SLP-CCC certification and eligibility for an Ohio license/ODE credential
- Strong background in pediatric speech-language therapy, ideally within an educational or healthcare environment
- Experience utilizing AAC devices such as Proloquo2Go and LAMP
- Familiarity with serving students with Autism Spectrum Disorders
- Teletherapy and school-based SLP experience are advantageous
- Ability (or willingness to learn) to bill Medicaid is highly desired
- Commitment to on-site service delivery at two nearby school locations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy services for K-12 students
- Collaborate with other professionals, including OTs, to deliver integrated services—including co-treatments and pragmatic/social skills groups
- Maintain therapy-related documentation and, if qualified, manage Medicaid billing for eligible students
- Participate in the dynamic daily routines of a specialized charter school, embracing flexibility for full-time (six-hour days) schedules
- Support student communication using AAC technologies as needed
