What to Expect:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 25-30 students, all with Autism (non-violent behaviors).
- Support classrooms across two close-by locations (just minutes apart).
- Hours are typically 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM; flexible six-hour days can be accommodated for full-time availability.
- Collaborate closely with OTs, co-treat in therapy sessions, and facilitate engaging social/pragmatic communication groups.
- Work with a variety of AAC tools, including Proloquo2Go and LAMP, to help amplify student voices.
- Medicaid billing capability is a major plus, as the vast majority of students are Medicaid eligible.
- Minimal administrative demands: responsibility for IEPs or evaluations only arises if you can and choose to bill Medicaid for those students.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid SLP (CCC) licensure or eligibility in Ohio, including ODE SLP credential (out-of-state candidates welcome if seeking OH licensure).
- Experience with pediatric speech therapy in schools, particularly with Autism spectrum populations.
- Comfort and creativity using AAC devices in therapy sessions.
- Adaptability and eagerness to collaborate with a small, dedicated team in a close-knit educational environment.
