Requirements and Preferred Background:
- Active and valid SLP license required
- School-based SLP experience strongly preferred
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience with high school caseloads is highly desirable
- Bilingual abilities are a plus but not mandatory
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, educators, and families
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized speech and language therapy for high school students according to IEP requirements
- Screen, assess, and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop targeted intervention plans in partnership with educational teams
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to eligibility and IEP meetings
- Consult with teachers and staff to implement strategies and promote inclusive practices
- Engage families and caregivers in support of student progress
