Speech Language Pathologist - Jackson, CA

About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and student-focused Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our educational team in Jackson. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping students develop communication skills that support academic success, social development, and independence while working closely with a supervising SLP and the school team.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Implement individualized treatment plans and speech-language goals developed by the supervising SLP
- Support students with articulation, receptive and expressive language, fluency, social communication, and other communication needs
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, families, and other members of the educational team
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and service records
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions as appropriate
- Support AAC implementation and other communication strategies as directed by the supervising SLP
- Monitor and communicate student progress and observations to the supervising SLP
- Create a positive, engaging, and student-focused therapy environment
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistance, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a related field
- Valid California SLPA registration/credential or ability to obtain
- School-based experience preferred but not required
- Experience working with children or students with communication needs preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a licensed SLP
