Position Overview
We are seeking dedicated Occupational Therapists (OTs) to support students throughout a school district in Wilmington, Delaware. This full-time, onsite opportunity is ideal for an OT who enjoys working with students across diverse educational settings and collaborating with school-based teams.
The Occupational Therapist will provide services to students throughout the district and help support their participation, independence, and success in the school environment.
Responsibilities
Provide occupational therapy services to students across the district.
Assess students' functional and educational needs.
Develop and implement appropriate therapeutic interventions.
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, families, and other related service providers.
Support students in developing skills needed for participation and success in the school setting.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and student progress.
Participate in educational team meetings and contribute to student support plans and IEPs as appropriate.
Adapt therapeutic strategies to meet individual student needs.
Follow district policies and applicable professional standards.
Qualifications
Active Occupational Therapist license required.
Valid licensure must be provided with application/submission.
School-based or pediatric experience is preferred.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Commitment to supporting students' academic, functional, and developmental goals.
Additional Requirements
Selected candidates will be required to complete the district's contractor onboarding process, which may include:
Background and fingerprinting requirements
TB testing, unless completed through an approved virtual provider
Child Protective Registry Check
Required contractor documentation
School badge appointment following approval
The district's onboarding review may take up to 5 business days after all required materials are received.
