Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Valid SLP license in the state of Iowa (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and record-keeping skills
- Ability to effectively manage a caseload and prioritize tasks
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect speech and language therapy to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments, write evaluation reports, and contribute to eligibility determinations
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to develop appropriate intervention strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and therapy sessions
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the creation of educational goals
- Support staff training and consultation to promote communication-rich classroom environments
