Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain it within the required timeframe
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations is highly valued
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational abilities and a flexible approach to daily responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in a diverse student population
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide direct therapy services, adapting strategies to meet each learner’s unique needs
- Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate and timely records
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to eligibility determinations, and support families through effective communication
- Deliver training and consultation to teachers, staff, and caregivers regarding communication strategies and accommodations within the classroom environment
- Stay current on best practices and maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines
