Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Inverness, Florida

This is a full-time, in-person contract opportunity near Inverness, FL, offering 40 hours per week in a supportive educational setting. Candidates with experience across pediatric, healthcare, and school-based environments are highly valued, and professionals at all career stages—including Clinical Fellows (CFY) and those holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)—are encouraged to apply. Those with backgrounds working with SLP Assistants (SLPA) are also welcome, as this may be discussed during the selection process.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state SLP license or eligibility to obtain
- Experience or strong interest in working with pediatric and school-age populations
- Open to interviewing CFY, CCC, and pediatric healthcare-focused SLPs
- Knowledge of best practices in assessment and therapeutic interventions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Comfortable working in-person; remote candidates will not be considered
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to K-12 students
- Evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans
- Conduct screenings and formal assessments to determine needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to optimize student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain thorough documentation
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet diverse student needs
- Provide guidance and supervision to SLPA staff as needed
