This is a contract opportunity located near Houston, TX, working on-site within multiple school campuses. You will serve students at both elementary and secondary school levels, providing comprehensive speech and language services and collaborating closely with educators and families.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Texas State Licensure as an SLP (CCC required; SLPA or CFs not eligible)
- Demonstrated experience within a school setting
- Versatility in working with elementary and/or secondary school populations, potentially splitting time between campuses
- Flexibility to work across multiple campus locations
- Self-contained classroom experience preferred
- Background in an early childhood center considered a strong plus
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- No educator credential required
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech and language services to a diverse student caseload
- Complete assessments, develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and monitor progress
- Work effectively with team members, including teachers and support staff, to create supportive learning environments
- Travel between campuses as assigned (onsite service only)
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all state and district guidelines
- Provide guidance to faculty and families regarding student needs and progress
This full-time contract runs through June 5, 2027, with a schedule of 35 hours per week on a 4-5 day schedule. As a valued part of the academic community, you will have the chance to make a profound difference in the lives of your students.
