Key Qualifications:
- Active SLP license in Texas (CCC required)
- Demonstrated experience working in school settings
- Previous supervision of Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) preferred
- Strong understanding of school-based evaluation and ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) processes
- Exceptional organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and staff
Responsibilities:
- Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
- Complete comprehensive speech-language evaluations for students
- Facilitate and participate in ARD meetings, providing expert input and recommendations
- Serve as a resource for staff on best practices in communication support
- Engage in collaborative planning with educators and service providers
- Maintain accurate and thorough records in compliance with school and state requirements
- Provide professional guidance, but note that direct therapy is not required for this assignment
