Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Speech-Language Pathology license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Prior experience in pediatric or school-based settings highly preferred
- Solid understanding of conducting evaluations, developing IEPs, and delivering direct therapy services
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively alongside teachers, administrators, and families
- Ability to manage and prioritize the needs of a robust elementary caseload
- Effective communication, organization, and documentation abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to elementary-aged students, both in individual and small group settings
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and participate in developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of services and support academic goals
- Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and comply with all federal and state guidelines for school-based SLPs
- Offer consultation and training to staff and families regarding communication needs and strategies
