A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Haskell, NJ, working within a school setting. This travel position offers a structured schedule spanning the end of one school year, an extended school year program, and the start of the next school year, providing continuity of care for a diverse caseload.
Key Details:
- Assignment Dates: • May 1, 2026 – June 12, 2026 | Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM • June 29, 2026 – July 30, 2026 | Monday to Thursday, 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM (Extended School Year) • September 8, 2026 – October 20, 2026 | Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Caseload: Approximately 25 students, ages 3-8, focusing primarily on preschool children including those in self-contained classrooms with multiple disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and other preschool disabilities.
Qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Experience or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred
- Pediatric and school-based SLP experience strongly desired
- Ability to manage a caseload with diverse needs, including children with Autism and multiple disabilities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and educational staff
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments and deliver individualized therapy
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Document progress and maintain thorough records according to school policies
