School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Hartsburg, Missouri
Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students as a School Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 academic year. In this full-time opportunity, you'll split your expertise between a special education preschool and an elementary school, working between 35 and 37.5 hours per week.
You'll play a vital part in helping students develop crucial communication skills, collaborating closely with teachers, other specialists, and families to support both individual and group progress. Previous school-based SLP experience is preferred for this position.
Your strengths and experience may include:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Experience with preschool and elementary-aged students, ideally in a school setting
- Strong assessment, intervention, and documentation abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for team collaboration
- Ability to adapt to varied caseloads and environments
Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Providing direct speech-language therapy to students at both assigned campuses
- Assessing student needs, developing individualized education plans (IEPs), and tracking progress
- Consulting and collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to create supportive learning environments
- Maintaining accurate, timely documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing expert recommendations
