This full-time role begins as soon as possible and runs through the end of the current school year, with strong potential to extend into the next academic year for those who thrive in the environment. You’ll work 36.25 hours each week with K–12 students across 2–3 classrooms, each serving between 6 and 8 students. With no SLPAs onboard, your expertise and leadership are even more valued.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Connecticut SLP license or eligibility
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience working in school settings with K–12 students
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language services to students in small classroom settings
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to support IEP goals
- Conduct assessments and maintain documentation in compliance with state/federal guidelines
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and contribute to student success plans
- Adapt strategies to meet the unique needs of each classroom, fostering communication growth
