School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | New Haven, Connecticut
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in New Haven, CT, supporting elementary students across two school sites. This contract position begins ASAP and ends on June 9, 2026, offering approximately 35 hours per week onsite, with work hours from 8:45 AM to 3:45 PM.
The role is based in inclusive elementary school settings, serving students with a variety of disabilities. Candidates must possess a current Connecticut SLP license and have school-based experience. Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) is required, though those currently completing Clinical Fellowship (CF) status will be considered. Please note, School Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) will not be eligible. Background checks and district fingerprinting are mandatory. Interviews will be conducted via Zoom.
Key qualifications and desired experience:
- Active Connecticut SLP license
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) required; CF candidates considered
- Proven school-based experience working with diverse disability categories in inclusive settings
- Ability to work onsite in elementary schools
- Compliance with district fingerprinting and background check procedures
Responsibilities include:
- Providing speech and language evaluations and therapy to elementary students
- Collaborating with classroom teachers and support staff to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting therapy plans accordingly
- Participating in team meetings and maintaining accurate documentation
- Supporting multiple school sites within the district as assigned
