School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Hammond, Indiana

Empower young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year! This rewarding contract opportunity places you at the heart of two elementary buildings serving grades K-5. You’ll work a consistent, full-time schedule (37.5 hours per week) from August 24, 2026, through May 21, 2027, supporting students as they develop communication skills essential for academic and social success.
Your impact will be felt daily as you shape individualized therapy plans, champion your students’ progress, and partner with educators and families in a supportive, collaborative environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and hearing screenings for students.
- Manage a caseload of 60–80 students, planning and delivering targeted therapy through a mix of direct and consultative services.
- Develop and document Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to create supportive strategies and monitor student growth.
- Participate in paid administrative time, case conferences, and team meetings.
- Travel between two school buildings—with paid driving time included in your regular schedule.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Licensed (or eligible) as an SLP in Indiana.
- Open to Clinical Fellows (CFY) with appropriate supervision provided.
- School-based or pediatric experience is valued; teletherapy-savvy professionals encouraged.
- Background check and fingerprinting required prior to starting.
