Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active, valid California SLP license (or eligibility to obtain before start date)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) applicants also considered
- School-based SLP experience is highly valued
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with IEP writing and implementing therapy in an educational setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, articulation, fluency, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Document progress, prepare reports, and participate in IEP meetings
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure student success
- Incorporate evidence-based practices and creative therapy techniques to engage students
- Offer guidance to classroom staff on implementing communication strategies in the classroom
