Embark on a fulfilling contract role supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for the 2026-2027 school year. This onsite position is based at an early childhood and elementary campus set in a welcoming Texas community not far from the West New Mexico border. Contributing to the growth and success of young learners, you'll work with children in ECSE through first grade presenting a wide range of communication needs, including articulation, language, and pragmatic skills—no AAC responsibilities for this specific caseload. At 37.5 hours per week, you’ll have the opportunity to make a significant impact while collaborating with dedicated professionals.
What You’ll Need:
- Qualification as an SLPA, SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or related school-based SLP role
- Eligibility or active certification for practice in a school setting
- Experience or interest in working with early childhood and elementary populations
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to work onsite throughout the school year
- Commitment to collaborative teamwork and a student-centered approach
What You’ll Do:
- Provide individual and group therapy to a diverse K-1st grade caseload, addressing articulation, language, and pragmatic needs
- Carry out treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed SLP (supervision provided for CF needs)
- Collect data on student progress and assist with documentation
- Participate in school-based meetings and contribute insights to support student growth
- Maintain positive relationships with staff, families, and caregivers
