School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Gretna, Louisiana

Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Current state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start.
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Ability to fulfill all credentialing requirements, including district-specific drug screening and fingerprinting.
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience is valued but not required; a passion for helping students thrive is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to students across assigned school locations (final assignments to be determined).
- Evaluate and assess student needs, develop individualized plans, and provide direct therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and interdisciplinary teams to support each student’s success.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in accordance with district and professional standards.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and contribute to the development of IEPs as appropriate.
Perks of This Role: This contract position features a consistent Monday–Friday schedule, with 35 hours per week and school breaks observed according to the official district calendar. Your placement will be fully supported throughout the onboarding process, including all necessary prescreening and credentialing.
Please note: Offers are contingent on the school board renewing the contract for the upcoming school year, with final approval expected following the June 3, 2026, board meeting.
