Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current SLP-CCC certification
- Previous experience in a school setting (preferred)
- Familiarity with school-based documentation and compliance
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with students, staff, and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and administration to optimize educational outcomes
- Deliver both direct and consultative therapy services in accordance with each student’s IEP
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports according to school and state guidelines
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, student-centered culture
- Provide guidance and education to families on supporting communication development at home
