School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Geneva, Ohio
A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist in a school-based setting supporting students from preschool through transition ages (up to 23 for those in special education). This full-time assignment spans the academic calendar from August 20th through June 4, 2027. The district comprises three elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school, providing diverse learning environments and a collaborative atmosphere.
Responsibilities include managing a weighted caseload—serving up to 80 school-age students, 50 preschoolers, or a combination consistent with specified ratio limits. Services will range from evaluation and therapy to IEP development and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Ohio SLP license and ODE credential (required)
- CFY or CCCs welcomed
- Previous experience in school settings, pediatrics, or healthcare preferred
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse caseload and collaborate with educators and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and deliver evidence-based therapy
- Develop and implement IEPs
- Track progress and maintain thorough documentation
- Communicate with teachers, parents, and support personnel
- Attend IEP meetings and participate in school-based teams
