Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active and valid SLP license in Ohio
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) awarded by ASHA
- Previous experience in school settings, preferably with elementary students
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to suit varying needs within a classroom
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to elementary-aged students in general education settings
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans targeting speech, language, and communication needs
- Document progress and maintain accurate session notes in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Consult with teachers and paraprofessionals to implement supportive strategies in the classroom
- Present updates and case information to designated staff including Savannah & Jordan, ensuring comprehensive support for each student
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to share progress and offer recommendations
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP planning as needed
