School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Garrisonville, Virginia
Step into an impactful role supporting students as a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist in an educational environment. This contract position is available immediately, continuing through May 29, 2026. You’ll work approximately 10-15 hours per week, offering critical services that foster communication development in school-aged children. Earn between $46 and $58 per hour while making a significant difference in students’ lives and collaborating with caring professionals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state SLP license and ASHA certification (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience providing therapy within a school setting is highly valued
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently, managing caseload and time across varying needs
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students
- Develop and deliver individualized therapy plans in accordance with IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress and generalization of skills
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and offer expertise on language development and intervention strategies
- Adapt services and interventions as needed for diverse learner populations
