Key Qualifications & Preferred Background
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Maryland SLP licensure (CCC strongly preferred; CFY candidates considered)
- Ability to present proof of licensure
- Completion of a House Bill background check
- Enthusiasm for working with diverse student populations
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
Responsibilities
- Provide direct and consultative speech/language therapy services according to IEPs
- Serve on-site at up to two or three campuses, typically with 4 days at one school and 1 day at another
- Manage a diverse caseload (elementary caseloads up to 40, middle school up to 48, maximum 57 at peak periods)
- Participate in IEP meetings, team conferences, and parent communications
- Maintain accurate therapy notes, progress reports, and required documentation
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to foster student success
- Participate in scheduled supervision and opportunities for professional growth
