Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Full-Time On-Site
Speech Language Pathologist, SLP Rockville, MD
A school-based Speech Language Pathologist plays an important role in helping students strengthen communication, language, and social skills that directly support learning and independence. In this position, the SLP will work closely with students, families, teachers, and school teams to help students overcome communication barriers and thrive academically.
Minimum Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a closely related field.
- Active Maryland Speech Language Pathologist license, or eligibility to obtain Maryland licensure.
- Maryland Limited License may be acceptable for Clinical Fellows when supervision requirements are met.
- ASHA CCC-SLP preferred.
- School-based experience and familiarity with IEPs preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students with communication needs.
- Complete evaluations, assessments, and screenings in accordance with school and state guidelines.
- Write and maintain IEP goals, service documentation, therapy notes, and progress reports.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to support student success.
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute recommendations for speech and language services.
