Key Qualifications:
- Current, active Virginia SLP license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Prior experience with pediatric or school-based populations preferred
- Commitment to onsite work (virtual not available for this role)
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities with students, staff, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and deliver evidence-based therapy to support students’ speech and language needs
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and educational success
- Participate in IEP meetings, student progress reviews, and ongoing development of treatment strategies
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and therapy documentation according to district and state guidelines
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource for school staff and parents, offering guidance and support for student communication development
