School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Stuart, Florida
Make a difference in the lives of students on Florida’s beautiful southeast coast! Licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP-CCC) are needed to support students at K-12 schools for the 2026-27 academic year. These contract positions are on-site, offering opportunities to work on a full-year or maternity leave basis, with assignments tailored to preferences and availability.
What We’re Looking For:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and active SLP licensure in Florida (CCC required)
- Experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Familiarity with caseloads such as kindergarten through 12th grade, students with ASD, EBD, or InD units, and resource therapy populations
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to different school environments and work both independently and as part of a team
- Availability for interviews on July 1st, as the speech coordinator will be returning then
Your Role Will Include:
- Delivering direct and indirect speech/language therapy to a variety of student populations (K-12)
- Conducting screenings, evaluations, and documenting progress
- Collaborating with teachers, school staff, and families to develop and implement IEPs and individualized therapy
- Managing caseloads at 1-2 school sites (K-8, Middle, or High School, depending on assignment)
- Participating in team meetings, staff development, and multidisciplinary collaboration
- Adhering to IEP timelines, documentation, and Medicaid billing procedures (if applicable)
- Providing coverage for maternity leave as needed, or full academic year positions
