School Speech Language Pathologist - Fort Walton Beach, Florida

We're seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) for a contract opportunity covering a spring maternity leave. This role will begin around April 5th and continue through the end of the school year, offering the chance to work alongside a collaborative support staff in a friendly, encouraging environment.
Flexibility is available—full-time and four-day schedules are both possible for in-person SLPs seeking a rewarding role with a manageable commitment. If you are able to start earlier, there is room for flexibility to accommodate your schedule as well.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Valid state licensure to practice as an SLP
- Experience providing therapy in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for working within a diverse school community
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to an assigned caseload of elementary students
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and collaborate on individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support each student’s progress
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
- Engage proactively in meetings, planning, and professional development
