Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Florence, Kentucky
Make a meaningful impact in education as a contracted Speech-Language Pathologist, working full time with K-12 students. This role covers the full academic year, beginning in mid-August and running through June 1st. Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; strong Clinical Fellows (CFY) will also be considered
- Previous experience in pediatric or school-based speech therapy is highly valued
- Solid understanding of the IEP process and ability to participate in goal setting and progress monitoring
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with a diverse population of students and comfort supporting K-12th grade
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students both individually and in group sessions
- Develop, implement, and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
- Collaborate with educators, school counselors, and families to ensure student success
- Maintain thorough documentation, progress notes, and required reports
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide expertise on communication disorders
